The African Research and Resource Forum
(ARRF) is a non-governmental, non-partisan,
not-for-profit international organization, which was
established in 2002 as a research, data resource,
reflection and policy debate institution devoted to
the resolution of the most difficult governance and
development issues confronting policy-makers and
societies in Eastern and Horn of Africa.
It links scholars, researchers, opinion leaders and
public service functionaries to interact and share
ideas. The Forum also facilitates the evolution
of a regional community of scholars, activists and
institutions, with a shared interest in resolving Inter-
African development problems.
ARRF plays a major role in supporting efforts to
integrate African economies, protecting Africa’s
resources and promoting governance structures
conducive to political stability in culturally-diverse
societies that often cut across borders.
ARRF was registered in Kenya under the Companies
Act (Cap.486) of the Laws of Kenya as a “company
limited by guarantee and not having share capital” in
March 2003.
